Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH, was established on June 24, 2004 and is seated in Vienna. It is directly owned by the Nabucco Partners and is responsible for the marketing of the pipeline capacity. Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH will be the only company in direct contact with the shippers (one-stop-shop - principle), and will operate as an autonomous economic entity on the market, acting independently from its parent companies.

Overall responsibilities for Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH are:

The carrying out and/or promotion of studies by professional engineers, economic advisors, tax, legal and financial advisors with regard to the financing of the construction of a gas pipeline from Turkey via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary to Austria, being described as the Nabucco Gas pipeline.

The company shall have the power to do anything which is conducive for above mentioned object, particularly by lobbying at governmental and European Commission levels to create appropriate investment incentives for potential investors of the project.

To co-ordinate the public relations activities e.g. by sending out mutually agreed press releases, by giving presentations at relevant conferences and by editing an information brochure about the project

The company shall have the power to negotiate and to conclude transportation contracts with potential shippers on the basis of mutually agreed terms and conditions for rendering transportation services in the above mentioned gas pipeline. The term “shippers” means any and every possible client.

To conclude transportation contracts regarding the whole pipeline.

To arrange and establish the financing of the Nabucco Gas Pipeline Project and to consolidate the funding of the related Companies.

To establish affiliated Companies and to coordinate their activities.

To coordinate and manage all further phases of the Nabucco Gas Pipeline Project, like the Development Phase, the Construction Phase and the Operating & Marketing Phase.

To carry out activities of a transmission system operator (TSO) acting as holder of transmission rights concerning the Nabucco Gas Pipeline.

To perform transmission related services including all respective duties and responsibilities referring to Nabucco Gas Pipeline.

To carry out telecommunication related activities and to provide telecommunication related services
