NABUCCO Gas Pipeline International has signed a contract with contractor Saipem to perform Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) services for the Nabucco West Project. Saipem has been selected as the appropriate provider of these services based on a competitive tender process launched in September 2012.

The contract includes all FEED activities for the 48 inch diameter, 1326 km pipeline system. This includes strategic analysis of data and information to conduct appropriate risk assessments and allocation of resources across the pipeline to ensure the continued successful development of the project.Learn More....

The Contracting Parties to the Nabucco Intergovernmental Agreement acknowledged a political declaration confirming the validity of the NABUCCO Intergovernmental Agreement and Project Support Agreements to NABUCCO West, giving comfort to investors and producers at the Nabucco Political Committee in Sofia, Bulgaria yesterday.

Nabucco pledges support for charity farming project in Romania

In lieu of holiday gifts this season, NABUCCO Gas Pipeline International GmbH will donate 15000 euro to a charity farm run by Caritas in Temesvar, Romania.

The donation will be used to fund a harvester for the farm. The Caritas farm grows food for the six Caritas facilities in Temesvar, Romania, and feeds about 400 people every day.Learn More....

Market Survey shows huge demand for Nabucco capacities

In preparation of the Open Season Process the Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH undertook an actual market survey amongst potential shippers on a non binding basis last month. Nabucco capacities are more than 100 Percent overbooked by potential shippers from day one in 2013 on a long term basis. Strong request for transport of natural gas from various gas sources in Central Asia and Middle Eeast. Open Season Process will start, when the legal framework - Exemption Process and Intergovermnental Agreement - is finally established.

Nabucco updates investment expectations

The Nabucco Consortium recently undertook a CAPEX update based on an actual market survey amongst major material and service supplies. The high price of crude oil and rising demand for steel cause increase of investment. Nabucco requires 2 mn tons of steel, 200,000 pipes and more than 30 compressor units. Nabucco´s competitiveness is uneffected since high demand for energy will increase the profitability of energy projects.
